Mental health issues touch many people’s lives. Becoming a member of your local trust gives you a voice and involvement in delivering our services

We are actively recruiting members to join the trust. Membership is free and open to anyone aged over 14 who lives in Essex, Suffolk or East Hertfordshire. You are also eligible if you live outside these areas but you are receiving our services, or you care for someone who is receiving our services.

We need members to retain our Foundation Trust status but, more importantly, to help shape our services and make sure we continue meeting the needs of the local community. Our Council of Governors, the majority of whom are elected, represent the views of the members. As a member you can put yourself forward for election as a governor.

How active you are in your membership is entirely up to you. We hold lots of events throughout the year which you can attend and you will be invited to our Annual Public Meeting, as well as to participate in consultations on the future of our services. We will keep you informed about developments within the trust and mental health issues in general through a newsletter published six times a year.
