Substance Misuse Services

We provide a wide range of substance misuse services to individuals, and support to their families.

We offer a full substance misuse service and have two detox beds at the Linden Centre. Our alcohol and substance misuse services can be accessed by self referral or referral from a GP or other healthcare professional. In west Essex we offer Community Detox (where appropriate).

Community Team

We have three community drug and alcohol teams

Mid Essex – CHANGES, based in Chelmsford
North east Essex - North East Essex Drug and Alcohol Service (NEEDAS), based in Colchester
West Essex – Community Drug and Alcohol Team (CDAT), based in Harlow

Community based teams help to support the user in recovery and with the help of friends and family, aim to minimise the impact of substance misuse to reduce drug-related deaths and harm.
